Sometimes competition can be healthy, as a way of pushing the other to be better. Sometimes competition can get unhealthy, like the time I introduced Olive to the game of RISK during our anniversary trip… the game ended in tears.

Yesterday I read two letters from fathers to gay sons that have been going viral.
The first letter (posted on Reddit) is from a father who disowning his son for being gay. “Don’t expect any further conversations from me. No communication at all. I will not come visit, nor do I want you in my house,” the father writes.

My friend Kevin Huang passed away yesterday from a heart attack, 3 weeks before his 32nd birthday. He had just celebrated his 1 year anniversary with his wife a few months ago.

Allie’s First Duet with Daddy [video]
Here’s a short video of 8-month old Allie playing the egg shaker while I play the guitar. It’s her first attempt at playing the egg shaker. At times in the song she gets hungry and tries to eat the shaker (no Allie, it’s not a real egg). Right when verse 2 starts, she even switches from her left hand to her right hand. And at the beginning of the 2nd chorus, she sings along for a note.
